Searching for the Perfect Cheese Steak or Hoagie
My wife and I are planning a trip to Philly this upcoming week. We will support the high school graduation of the son of one of her close friends. While this will be my first official trip to the city of brotherly love, my wife has lived there previously.
The buzz around the trip
We have been planning this trip for a few months now. Even though we are going for graduation and experiencing the city. The buzz around the journey is about who has the best Cheese Steak in Philadelphia. No matter who you speak with, if they live or have traveled to Philly, they have a strong opinion on where you must go to try one.
Flight layover
Consequently, I was shamed for confidently admitting that I went to Pat’s and Geno’s Steaks on a flight layover at PHL some years back. That admittance qualified me as a straight tourist. I am and was but was it that obvious from stating where I had eaten.
So what’s the fuss about
At this stage in my life and with more time to explore, I’m eagerly looking forward to tasting the best of what authentic Philly offers by way of Cheesesteaks and Hoagies. The choices are many, from what I understand.
To wrap up, I admire how different parts of the world specialize in something unique. I’m glad about that. We are all different but the same. That’s a good thing.
