We All have Been Given the Spirit of Personal Discipline
Personal- of relating to or affecting a particular person: private, individual
Discipline-self control, control gained by enforcing obedience and training that molds, or perfects the mental faculties or moral character
This is one part of the ability that the spirit of all believers are given. So we all have personal self control gained by obedience to Gods ways that perfects our mental faculties and moral character. That is good news because how would we know what was good and what was bad, what was wise or what was foolish, what ways lead us up higher and what paths are dead ends if God didn’t tell us through his word.
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but he has given us a spirit of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline abilities that result in a calm, well balanced mind and self control
2 Timothy 1:7
One part is hearing the word the next part is obeying the word, actively searching for ways to implement them in our every day lives. That will produce our best lives our true selves our best selves.
